Ongoing projects

AGROMITCAR

Development of low-cost carbon materials for agri-environmental applications in the framework of the Circular Economy and Climate Change Mitigation.

This project is financed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the European Union, within the call for proposals of PUBLIC PARTNERSHIP PROVEN 2021, with identification number CPP2021-008551 and with a grant of 1,035,265.89 €.

It aims to carry out an experimental development for the manufacture of carbon materials for the water purification, agricultural and environmental markets, based on innovative processes for the production of new products with a low Carbon Footprint and high Circular Economy index.

The general objective of the LIFE ZEROLANDFILLING project is to demonstrate the profitability and sustainability of a pilot plant for the treatment and chemical recycling of non-recyclable municipal solid waste (MSW). The project seeks to revalorize them into a high-quality liquid blend called green naphtha, which can be used in the chemical and petrochemical industries. In addition, solid charcoal will be produced for the construction industry and synthesis gas for self-consumption during the pyrolysis process.

INDUSTRIAL DOCTORATES

Within the framework of the Community of Madrid’s industrial doctorate grants, EcoCuadrado has two doctoral students working with us as they develop research in the area of improvements in waste management and waste recovery. All of this is framed within the call resolved by Order 1867/2023 of the Community of Madrid.

We are currently developing the following two doctoral programs:

IND2023/AMB-28876 – IND2023/AMB-28885

Completed projects

RETO-COMPOSTADOR

Modular high efficiency automatic high efficiency composting systems for organic waste.

An Experimental Development of organic waste treatment equipment is carried out by means of a high efficiency controlled composting system that is performed in an automatic equipment called auto-composter.

Retos-Colaboración 2017 project of the State Research Agency.

Development of high value-added bioproducts from forest residues using microwave technology.

LignoBioLife is part of the Climate Change Mitigation subprogram, in the Land Use, land use change and Forestry (LULUCF) line. It is a demonstration project with the best available techniques, which tests, evaluates and disseminates methodologies not used so far on an industrial scale (only on a pilot scale) in the forest residues and bioproducts sector. It is carried out at a transnational level and in different contexts of close-to-market application, within the development of circular economy, with applied business model and high replication of results.

LignoBioLife links the fight against climate change and forest use by encouraging the cleaning of forests to prevent forest fires by recovering waste that is currently discarded and burned. Therefore, it favors the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
